There’s a maximum amount MOT test stations can charge, but there is no minimum that can be charged which is why Freelance Mechanics are carrying out MOTs at just £29.99. We still work to the same guide lines that the government as set and complete a full mot test. The maximum fee for a car is £54.85 and £29.65 for a standard motorcycle. You don’t pay VAT on the fee.
