Local Sponsorship and Community

Giving back to our local community in different ways is very important to us here at Freelance Mechanics.

Aidan volunteers his free time to the local community, we believe that a community is made of the people within it, so to help the community we sponsor individuals as well as teams:

Like Travis Shaw – one of Cumbria’s youngest motorbike riders, at only 7 years old! – who rides for our team ‘The FML Motorsports’. Travis’ first championship will be in 2021.

We also sponsor 10-year-old Joshua Williams. Joshua came 3rd in the 2021 FIM Mini GP UK Ohvale Championship. He rides one of our bikes for the FML Motorsports teams.

Glenn Irwin is another one of our sponsees. He rides for Honda racing, having 5 wins and 28 podium finishes. We sponsored Glenn for the British Superbike Championship.

Free Spirit Competition Jackets

Kits & Jackets are key aspects of team unity and morale; that is why we find sponsoring teams by providing jackets and kits as a great way to support the community.

We did this for the Free Spirit Academy, sponsoring their 8-16 Girls team with competition jackets to wear when competing all over the UK. Free Spirit placed 1st and 2nd in every competition they entered when competing in Leicester (before Covid-19).

We also sponsored Vickerstown Girls Football Team by sponsoring their kit.
